Stewards 12U won the CCBL (Carolina Challenge Baseball League) 3A tournament held May 5-7 at West Mecklenburg. Stewards defeated Park Sharon 13-3, Coul-Oak 14-0, Olde Providence 17-5 and Porter Ridge 7-2 in pool play. Stewards then beat Porter Ridge 11-9 in the championship. Alex Cagide and Will Grier each homered twice for Stewards. Thomas Bolen and Patrick Sullivan (grand slam) each homered once. Stewards stole 49 bases in 22 innings in the tournament.
