2005 11U All-Stars Qualify for State Tournament

The 11-year-old All-Star team continued their awesome post-season play by qualifying for the Cal Ripken WNC state tournament in Marion, NC.  The 11’s team qualified for the state tournament by finishing second in their area tournament held in Elkin, NC from June 28 – July 3.  The top three teams from each area tournament qualified for the state tournament.

The nine western NC state All-Star teams that qualified were Stewards of the Game, St. Stephens, Davidson County, Henderson County, Park Sharon, Olde Providence, Anson County, South Buncombe, and Polk County.  In addition, the host team, McDowell County will play in the tournament.  One WNC state champion will emerge from this tournament and represent the state in the Cal Ripken Southeast Regional tournament in Laurinburg, NC.
