Stewards of the Game Goes to Bolivia
A number of our Stewards of the Game coaches and players brought the game of
baseball to an orphanage in Bolivia during the summer of '04. Many generous
Stewards of the Game families donated baseball gloves and hats to the
cause. As part of a Missions Trip with Lake Forest Community Church, Mitch
& Caleb White, Mike, Teresa, David & Nathan Sharp and Algie Grubbs traveled
to Cochabamba, Boliva in July of 2004. In addition to participating in
various medical, construction and street ministries during the trip, this
team delivered baseball hats and gloves to 25 or so kids at the orphanage
where we stayed and worked.
Check-out the photos in our
Stewards of the Game
Photo Gallery. You will quickly see the joy in the eyes of all these
children as they received their hats and gloves and played their first game
of baseball! We also left them with bases, bats and balls so the tradition
can continue. God is Good. Thanks to all who helped make this possible!!!
