FAMILY CRISIS FUND
Over the past several years, we have been so richly blessed in
getting to know hundreds of families through participation in various
Stewards of the Game baseball and basketball programs. The harsh reality
is that a number of our families are going through some very difficult
times....and could really use a helping hand.
In just the past few months, we've seen several of our
families struggling with layoffs, life-threatening illnesses, houses being
burglarized and ransacked...single parents trying to fight their way out
of poverty, etc. These are parents and kids that we all play with, and
pray with, every day. In many cases, you wouldn't have a clue what they're
going through. Mainly because through their struggles, they still bring
their kids to practices and games... day in and day out...putting on a
strong front for their children, hoping to provide them with an outlet of
fun-filled instruction and Christ-centered competition...and trying to
insulate them from all the pain.
Many of you have asked how we might help these
families during their times of crisis. While assistance is fairly
widespread during the holidays;
frankly, together, we can be a great support network for each other on an
ongoing basis as emergency needs arise.
Therefore, we are creating a Stewards of the Game: Family
Crisis Fund. If you would like to assist these families in need, please
send your tax-deductible contribution to:
Stewards of the Game
P.O. Box 1345
Huntersville, NC 28070-1345
Please mark your contribution for: Stewards of the
Game-Family Crisis Fund. 100% of these donations will go directly to
these needy families. We will keep all gifts anonymous.
As always, we thank you for all your support and
generosity.
Make it a blessed day.
