Many of us adopt families during the holidays, often through agencies, donating gifts, meals, etc. to families in need.   Several of our Stewards of the Game families asked this year if they could "adopt" some of the families that they have gotten to know through our baseball and basketball programs.  We clearly have families among us that don't know what it's like to have gifts under the tree...or a nice home-cooked meal at Thanksgiving.  Of course, as we all know, these needs extend well beyond the holiday season.

In response to this request, we are establishing a Stewards of the Game Adopt-A-Family program.  If you are interested in developing a relationship with one of our families in need, we will simply match you up with a family that will most surely treasure your time and support.  This support can come in a number of different forms:

• Gifts at special occasions (Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries)

• Transportation

• Tutoring

• Help around the house

• Meals

• Notes of encouragement

However, there are no limits to how you might choose to touch their lives...or they yours.  That will be up to you and your family.
